The counterproductive recommendations of many diet advisers are the following: Eat more carbohydrates and less fat. As a result we see nearly everywhere in the industrialized countries the increase of overweight. In the USA about 90% of the citizens eat fatreduced or even fatfree food. But the Americans did not get slimmer, but instead gained more overweight. The American Government meanwhile speaks of overweight as a national epidemic, which endangers the health of the people as well as the finance of the health care system.

What is going wrong? What have you to know if you want to have more success with your weight? To eat less is wrong if it is distributed evenly over the day. Because in this case you slow down your metabolism, and this means a stop of the reduction of your overweight, no matter how little the quantities are you eat. But if you only eat one or more days your "normal quantities" or finish the diet your weight increases considerably. Because your metabolism in an economy mode can not digest all the calories but instead puts on weight.

Therefore the most important attribute of a successful diet is that the intake is not evenly allocated over the day. At the Half-Day Diet the focus of intake is the first half of the day. And the second half of the day is the zero diet time.

In addition one has to know why insuline is the greatest enemy of weight reduction and what one can do about it. Therefore is the recommendation of many diet advisers to eat more carbohydrates so counterproductive. This is a recommendation which prevents every weight reduction. On the Half-Day Diet the metabolism does not shift into an economy mode, as it happens with most of the traditional diets. Two full meals on the first half of the day prevent this. The great disadvantage of the so-called calorie-reduction diets is that the body adjusts the consumption of the calories to the reduced offer of the calories. At this point of time there is no longer any loss of weight possible with the traditional diets.
